Whiteness relates to identity, but it is very much more than an identity position.
The reduction of whiteness to an individually held identity is a function of coloniality.
This is why WhiteSpaces resists the temptation to start from a discussion of white identities.
Its starting point is to explore whiteness as a dynamic shifting continually (re)produced formation of power.
Since 2015 I have been writing about such a dynamic shifting enactment in terms of a relational choreography.
I am in the process of bringing together these various bits of writing and extending these here... watch this space... sign-up for updates to know when this finally lands....
